Most multimeters will allow you to measure resistances in the 1 ohm to megahohm range with a high degree of accuracy. But they are very inaccurate at measuring resistances in the milliohm range. The multimeter’s cable and connector resistances may be more than the resistance you are trying to measure. This video will show you a technique called four wire resistance measurement, which allows you to accurately measure resistances as low as a few milliohms using a cheap multimeter. This technique is useful whenever your circuit has high currents and you need to accurately predict the voltage drop and power loss in the wires of your circuit.
